OTHER WAYS TO GIVE
Your generosity helps Grafton Food Pantry support families in need throughout our community. Beyond traditional donations, there are several smart, tax-advantaged ways to strengthen our mission.
Give Through Your IRA (Qualified Charitable Distribution)
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a simple and tax-wise way to support Grafton Food Pantry while meeting your IRA’s Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
When you make a QCD:
Your gift goes directly from your IRA to Grafton Food Pantry.
It may be excluded from your taxable income.
Because the donation transfers directly from your IRA, this is one of the easiest and most financially efficient ways to make a meaningful impact.
*QCDs must be completed by December 31 to be counted for the current tax year.
Give Through Appreciated Stock
Donating appreciated stock is one of the most impactful and tax-efficient ways to support Grafton Food Pantry.
Benefits of giving stock:
Avoid capital gains taxes by donating stock directly instead of selling it.
Receive a charitable deduction for the fair market value of your gift, depending on your financial situation.
Increase your impact, since more of your gift goes directly toward feeding families in our community.
Enjoy a simple process, with shares transferred directly from your brokerage account to Grafton Food Pantry—we coordinate with your broker to make it seamless.
Legacy Giving
A legacy gift allows your generosity to make an impact for years to come. By including Grafton Food Pantry in your estate plans—whether through a will, trust, beneficiary designation, or other planned gift—you help ensure that families continue to have access to nutritious food well into the future.
Legacy giving is more than a bequest; it’s a chance to create a lasting symbol of your compassion and commitment.
If you’d like to discuss a legacy gift, please reach out. We would be honored to talk through your wishes and the long-term difference your future gift can make.
Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) offers flexibility and convenience, allowing you to support Grafton Food Pantry at the pace and level that’s right for you.
How to make your DAF gift count:
Recommend a grant directly from your DAF to Grafton Food Pantry.
Your DAF’s sponsoring organization will review and approve the transfer.
Let us know when you give—many DAF sponsors do not share donor details, and we want to thank you personally.
If you’re considering opening a DAF, we can help you explore whether this tax-smart giving option is right for you. If you're unsure whether you already have a DAF, your financial planner can guide you.
Together, We Make a Difference
No matter how you choose to give, your support strengthens Grafton Food Pantry’s mission and provides vital food assistance to neighbors in need.
